They have a large rocker seats with absolutely stunning picture quality and a giant wall to wall screen. REAL3D gives the audience an experience like they have entered the movie with the objects floating and flying in the theater. But nothing beats “Barco escape” which are specially designed multiple screens for a panoramic view. D-Box is a theater experience where the seats are set in motion to enhance the imagination and perception of the movie. These features are available in selected theaters in special screens along with 4DX which is Canada’s first in only selected screens.
Cineplex Tuesday is one discount day of the week where movie tickets are considerably cheaper with extra 10%discount for the SCENE members. This allows people who are low on budget to enjoy their favorite movie experience at a cheaper rate.
Cineplex is not just a trendy modern theater there is more to it especially its concession stand which actually comprises of various small types like Food and Drink, Outtakes, Poptopia, YOYOS and VIP.
The Food and drink has corner has their signature popcorn which is light, fresh, crispy with butter on top of it along with coca-cola drinks and some candies/chocolates like twix, m&m’s, skittles etc. These also come in combo that includes popcorn, coke and one candy/chocolate. This corner resembles the classical movie experience back in the days.
Outtakes are for the hunger destroyers with delicious experience while watching the movie. This stand include wraps, sandwiches, premium nachos, hot dogs etc whose prices are fortunately not sky rocketing. One special item on the menu is pountine which is a combination of fries, cheese curd and gravy a real Canadian classic. Its taste is further accentuated by adding Bacon, pulled pork or beef chilli which is called amped out pountines. This stand is the next level compared to the contemporary Food and drinks corner.
“Poptopia” are gourmet popcorn which is a particular specialty of Cineplex. They come in various flavors like jalapeno and cheese, Chicago mix, chocolate dizzled caramel. Poptopia stand also has a tin box filled with gourmet popcorn which is a perfect gift for family, friends etc.
“YOYOS” is yogurt on the way. It specifically deals with the yogurt cravings and is one of the tastiest yet healthiest options. Yogurt is creamy and frozen which can be customized according to the customers need. YO bowl (frozen with toppings), YO blend (smoothie), YO craze (somewhere between YO bowl and YO blend), waffles are available on YOYOS. The price is not very high and does encourage trying various options because of that.
The VIP is the ultimate movie experience for adults where one gets full recliners seating, Specialty food menu, licensed lounge, premium in seat service which gives a VIP feel and a restaurant vibe while watching the movie. It has a full fledged menu like a proper restaurant which includes beer and wines. For Wednesday there is a special offer of dinner for two at just $69 at selected screen. This is a premium experience for dates, casual outing which gives a movie-cum-restaurant experience at a reasonable price. The quality of service and food is un parallel. The VIP experience is only for 19+ and for some screen 18+ so only adults are allowed and photo ID is required at the entry.
The in-seat service works 25 minutes before the movie starts and orders are given while the movie trailers are going on and not in the middle of the movie. It is advised to go early in the VIP screens to avail in-seat service. If someone wishes to eat in between one can visit the VIP concession stand or the VIP lounge during the movie.
