AMC Theatre Movie Prices
AMC has basically four categories of pricing, with additional sub categories. The main categories are based on the type of theatre and the time of the day or week:
Regular AMC Ticket Prices
Tickets for the shows after 6PM, the prime time, are at the highest at $12.00. Military personnel, however are given a rebate and the price is reduced to $10.50 and children tickets are even more lower priced at $9.50
For the morning shows on weekends, the price is same as any morning show at $7.00. But evening shows from 12PM till 4PM have a ticket price of $10.25. Similar to weekdays, the prices are highest for the late shows, but the time is set at 4PM instead of 6PM and the price of a ticket is at $13. Military personnel are ticketed at $11.25 while children’s ticket is set at $10.25
AMC 3D Tickets Prices
3D technology, with the ability to make characters and objects pop out of the screen, use a complex visual system comprising of sometimes two and even more projectors and special glasses. With the expensive technology, the prices of tickets are set higher than regular ones.
During weekdays, shows before noon are set at $11.00, while after noon till 6 PM are priced at $13.50. Shows after 6 PM carry a pricing mechanism that is revers of regular, with the lowest set at $12.00 for regular viewers, $13.50 for children and $14.50 for military personnel.
During weekends, morning shows have the same price of $11.00, but the afternoon shows are ticketed at $14.25 per person till 4PM. Shows after that time are priced at $17.00 per ticket, with children and seniors at $14.25 and military people at $15.25 per ticket.
AMC Prime Tickets Prices
Prime feature is AMC’s offer of a better movie experience in theatres where IMAX or Dolby Digital technology is not available. These theatres have reclining chairs, better acoustics and high resolution projection.
Standard ticket price of $12.00 is charged during the weekdays for shows before noon, while $14.50 for shows between 12PM and 6PM. Shows after 6PM are charged at $17.00 for regular movie goers, while children and military are charged at $14.50 and $15.50 per ticket respectively.
Weekends, like any other theatre ticketing system, are priced differently. Shows before 12PM are placed at $14.50 and shows between 12PM to 4PM are set at $15.25 per ticket. For movies running after 4PM, tickets for adults and seniors are priced at $18.00. Children and military personnel are offered tickets at $15.25 during the same time.
AMC IMAX 3D Prime Ticket Prices
The AMC is currently upgrading a lot of its Prime theatres to IMAX 3D for better cinema experience. During the weekends, the prices for shows before 12PM are priced at $7.00 per ticket. Shows between 12PM and 6PM are set at $15.50 per ticket. Shows after 6PM are priced at $18.00 per ticket, with $15.50 and $16.50 for children and military.
Tickets are priced higher during the weekends, with shows before noon charged at $13.00 per ticket for all. For shows running from 12PM to 4PM, tickets are priced at $16.25. Shows after 4PM on weekends are at the highest, with $19.00 being charged for a single ticket. During the same time, children and military are given a discounted ticket price of $16.26.
